MLS Program Description | Request Custom MLS Reports | FAQS

Mass Layoff Statistics (MLS) program is a Federal-State initiative that identifies, describes and tracks large job cutbacks. We report mass layoffs and closures in Illinois in which at least 50 workers were separated involuntarily by their employer for more than 30 days. We also report all potential mass layoff events that were identified, regardless of their duration.

If you have any questions or problems please contact the MLS program specialist or call (312) 793-5896
